Sci Fi LX -
Construindo um mundo de muitos mundos
Nos próximos dias
18 e 19 de Julho, o Instituto Superior Técnico, um espaço onde já muito do que
antes era considerado ficção científica foi feito realidade, acolhe o Sci Fi LX
no seu ano zero. Este é um evento que pretende afirmar-se como convenção
internacional de ficção científica, com atividades que apelem a todos os fãs do
género, expondo conteúdos e meios clássicos e recentes, populares e eruditos e
até promovendo a criação de novos e a formação de novos autores e criadores.
Sonhar mundos novos
com base no nosso é característica tanto da Fantasia como da Ficção Cientifica;
inserir o público nesses mesmos mundos, o objetivo de quem os cria. Se a
Fantasia nos coloca em mundos impossíveis mas afinal muito parecidos com o
nosso, a Ficção Cientifica transporta-nos para uma realidade familiar mas ao
mesmo tempo diferente, onde a ciência e a tecnologia transformam a humanidade,
projetando realidades em que tudo é novo, menos a própria humanidade.
É desta visão que
nasce o Sci Fi LX, um evento de e para fãs de ficção científica, cujo objetivo
é de criar um espaço de imersão para todos os fãs de ficção científica nos
mundos que seguem e tanto amam, dando-lhes oportunidade de conhecer e criar
outros tantos no momento em que chegam ao evento.
SCI FI LX- A convenção internacional de ficção científica de
Lisboa,decorrerá nos dias 18 e 19 de Julho de 2015 no INSTITUTO SUPERIOR
TÉCNICO, LISBOA -Avenida Rovisco Pais 1
- Neste evento realizado por fãs portugueses desta temática,
serão exibidos alguns dos vossos filmes clássicos de ficção científica
favoritos!
- Durante o evento está previsto um concurso de cosplay,
então, traz a tua melhor fantasia para teres a chance de ganhar alguns prémios
de ficção científica!
- Este ano teremos a participação especial de MindBizarre,
uma artista incrível de facepaint e cosplayer.Ela estará montando uma pequena
oficina para todos os entusiastas.
- Juntamente com o grupo de Boardgamers de Lisboa, o SciFiLx
terá uma coleção dos melhores jogos de tabuleiro de ficção científica,
disponíveis para todos os fãs deste passatempo. Haverá ainda jogos de
miniaturas e roleplaying e consolas de videojogos desde as retro às mais
recentes e um torneio de Starcraft 2 .
- A Sci-Fi Lx convidou alguns notáveis palestrantes para
falar connosco sobre a ciência e a cultura da ficção científica:
Prof. Dr. Rui Agostinho, do Observatório Astronómico de
Lisboa, Prof., Luís Correia, da faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de
Lisboa, Prof. Dr. Christopher Auretta de Damien e Prof Dra. Maria Paula Diogo,
ambos do centro de Interuniversitary para a história das Ciências e tecnologia.
- Entre os vários oradores convidados, também teremos várias
apresentações emocionantes por algumas das empresas presentes, como o
campeonato de Lisboa de Steampunk, Kingpin Books e o grupo Roleplayers de
Lisboa, bem como uma incrível demonstração de Oculus Rift!
- Durante todo o fim-de-semana haverá uma mini feira do
livro de ficção científica, onde podem procurar por antigos clássicos e
novidades por descobrir com a presença de alguns vendedores do género: Kingpin
Books, Livraria Ler, Devir, livraria Bivar e muito mais.
- Para todos os amantes LEGO,a PLUG (grupo português LEGO ®)
terá um stand no evento cheio de surpreendentes criações da LEGO ®.
- Merchandise:Ainda estamos a trabalhar nos detalhes, mas em
breve suficiente teremos mais a informação suficiente sobre as lojas de
merchandising que estarão presentes. Todo o tipo de jogos estará também à venda
na nossa Convenção, desde jogos de tabuleiro a jogos de vídeo, graças aos
nossos parceiros neste evento!
- A Força é forte em ti?
Esperamos que sim, organizaremos uma workshop maravilhosa
para todos os nossos wannabes Jedi!Após o sucesso do ano passado da workshop de
coreografia de luta de espada, convidámos o mestre de esgrima, Eugénio
Roque,para estar presente no evento deste ano com uma workshop de esgrima de
Jedi!O workshop terá lugar no sábado dia 18, durante todo o dia e será ser
dirigido das técnicas aplicadas para a criação e interpretação de duelos de
ficção científica, mais concretamente no universo de Star Wars.Certamente será
um dia de trabalho intensivo, mas os participantes terão a chance de mostrar as
suas performances no domingo, onde as melhores performances vão receber
prémios!O "Mestre Jedi" Eugénio Roque também dará uma palestra sobre
esgrima artística no domingo.
- O stand do SWCP terá ao dispor dos visitantes no dia 18 de
Julho,sabres de luz, máscaras e acessórios que poderão usar e tirar fotos com
os mesmos assim como com alguns figurantes trajados a personagens de Star
Wars.Teremos ainda uma mostra gráfica intitulada `Star Wars:Behind the scenes e
recortes de imprensa nacional, exposição de alguns coleccionáveis de ficção
científica e informação sobre as nossas actividades.

LISBON'S SCIENCE-FICTION INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION
This year's
Sci-Fi Lx is almost upon us!We assure you we are working hard to bring you the
best Portuguese Science-Fiction Convention. 18-19 JULY 2015 - INSTITUTO

During the
whole weekend we will be showing some of your favourite classical sci-fi
movies!
During our
event we are planning a cosplay competition, so bring out your best costume and
come show us your moves, for a chance to win some sci-fi prizes!
This year
we will have the special participation of MindBizarre, an amazing facepaint
artist and cosplayer. She is putting together a little workshop for all you
enthusiasts out there, so come back later for more details!
Together
with the Lisbon’s Boardgamers Group, SciFiLx will have a collection of the best
science-fiction board games, available for all the fans of the hobby as well as
anyone else wanting to play!
We will
have also the participation of the miniature wargames enthusiasts group Umbigo.
Make sure to check out their webpage!Come try out some amazing games, such as
Battletech, Infinity or Warhammer 40k in our Miniature Area.There will also be
exhibitions of various miniatures and sets, constructed and painted by fans of
the hobby. From retro-gaming to the newest consoles, several videogames will be
available for you to try out, with the help of 1UP Gaming Lounge!

has invited some remarkable panelists to talk with us about the science and
culture of science-fiction.
- Amongst
our various guest speakers we will also have several exciting presentations by
some of the fan groups and companies present, like the Steampunk Lisbon League,
Kingpin Books and the Lisbon Roleplayers Group, as well as an amazing Oculus
Rift demonstration!
- All
through the weekend there will be a mini Sci-Fi Book Fair, where you can browse
for old classics and undiscovered novelties. Be sure to check out some of our
amazing seller
- For all
the LEGO® lovers out there, PLUG (Portuguese LEGO® Users Group) will have a
stand in our event, stock full of amazing LEGO® creations. You can count on
amazing models like these to be at SciFi Lx 2015, so don't miss out!
- As we are
sure you're as much of a Star Wars fan as we are, we have invited Star Wars
Clube Portugal to be present at our event.SWCP will be present on the 18th of
July with a stand filled with lightsabers, masks and other accessories you’ll
be able to wear and take photos with, as well as some volunteers in Star Wars
costumes.They will also have an amazing display, called “Star Wars: Behind the
scenes”, along with some press clippings, information on their activities and
an exhibition of sci-fi collectibles.
- For all
your geeky needs, we will of course have lots of merchandise for you to choose
from!We are still working out the details, but soon enough we will have more
information of the merchandising stores that will be present. All sorts of
games will be for sale at our convention, from boardgames to video games,
thanks to our partners in this event!

We sure
hope so, since we're organizing a wonderful workshop for all our Jedi wannabes
out there!Following the success of last year's choreographed sword fighting
workshop, we've invited Artistic Fencing Master, Eugénio Roque, to be present at
this year's event with a Jedi Fencing Workshop!The workshop will take place on
Saturday the 18th, during the whole day, and will be be aimed at the techniques
applied to the creation and interpretation of science-fiction duels, more
concretely in the Star Wars universe.It will certainly be a work-intensive day,
but the participants will have the chance of showing off their performances on
Sunday, where the best interpretations will receive awards!Master Jedi Eugénio
Roque will also be giving a lecture on Artistic Fencing on Sunday, for those of
you who prefer to stay on the sidelinesm watching (you're not alone, my
friends!).
