Entrevistas SWCP: Damon Herriman

O Australiano Damon Herriman,é um ator, escritor e produtor que tem participado em filmes e séries televisivas como: A casa de cera, Almost Human,Breaking Bad,Lone Ranger,J.Edgar,entre outros.

SWCP: Faz atualmente parte do elenco da série Battle Creek.Como tem estado a decorrer o seu trabalho neste projeto? Pode adiantar algo acerca do seu personagem?

D.H: Foi muito divertido participar nas filmagens. Interpreto um detetive chamado Niblet que é o filho do tipo simpático do escritório. Um pouco virado para o lado nerd!

SWCP: Já foi dirigido por grandes nomes da 7ª arte como o David Memet,Clint Eastwood,Bryan Singer,etc.Recorda-se de alguma situação caricata que se tenha passado com algum deles?

D.H: Lembro-me de uma conversa quando estava a trabalhar com o Clint Eastwood. Contei-lhe que o quanto estava tudo tão tranquilo nos cenários. E ele disse que nunca entendeu por que é que as pessoas tinham que fazer tanto barulho nas filmagens. Disse-me que tinha estado recentemente no filme de outras pessoas e que o diretor assistente continuava a andar por lá a dizer "SILÊNCIO, POR FAVOR!". Então, o Clint respondeu-lhe o seguinte: "Mas o único que está a fazer qualquer barulho e você!" 

SWCP: Que projetos como realizador/produtor tem previsto para breve?

D.H: Não tenho quaisquer projetos atualmente como realizador ou produtor.

SWCP: Tem interpretado inúmeros papéis de vilão; desde assassino, sequestrador a terrorista. É o seu tipo de papel favorito? 

D.H: Certamente é muito divertido! Gosto de interpretar muitos tipos diferentes de personagens, mas os vilões costumam geralmente fazer personagens interessantes.

SWCP: Foi um dos atores que participaram no primeiro filme realizado pelo Russel Crowe (The Water Diviner).Como foi essa experiência?

D.H: Foi maravilhosa. Participei no filme apenas por um dia, mas foi formidável ter sido dirigido e ter atuado com o Russell Crowe. Ele é um ator talentoso e provou ser também um realizador excecional. 

SWCP: Que mensagem quer enviar aos seus fãs?

D.H: Apenas agradecer por assistirem ao meu trabalho e espero que possa continuar a trabalhar em algumas produções das quais as pessoas possam ver e apreciar.

The Australian actor, writer and producer, Damon Herriman, participated in several feature films and Television shows such as House of Wax,J.Edgar,Lone Ranger,Breaking Bad,Almost Human,among others.  

SWCP: Currently, you are part of the `Battle Creek´ cast.How has been during your work on this TV show?Could you tell us something about your character?  

D.H: It was a lot of fun to shoot. I play a detective called Niblet who is kid of the office nice guy. A little on the nerdy side!

SWCP: You have been directed by some of the most renowned filmmakers such as David Mamet,Clint Eastwood,Bryan Singer,etc.Do you remember of any funny or unusual situation with any of them?

D.H:  I remember one conversation when I was working with Clint Eastwood. I was telling him how nice it was having such a quiet set. He said he never understood why people had to make so much noise when filming. He told me he was on someone else's film set recently and that the Assistant Director kept walking around saying "QUIET PLEASE! QUIET PLEASE". Then Clint added "But the only one making any noise was him!"

SWCP: What projects as a director/producer do you have briefly?

D.H: I don't have any projects coming up as a director or producer.

SWCP: You have played many roles as a villain: Creepy roadkill, kidnapper, terrorist...this is your favourite kind of role?

D.H: It's certainly a lot of fun! I like playing lots of different types of characters, but the bad guys usually do make for interesting characters.

SWCP: You were one of the actors who worked on the first feature film directed by Russell Crowe(The water diviner).How it was this experience?

D.H: It was wonderful. I was only on it for one day, but so great getting to act with and be directed by Russell Crowe. He's such a talented actor and has proven himself to be an exceptional director as well.

SWCP: What message would you like to send for your fans?

D.H: Just thanks for watching and I hope I can continue to work on some productions people see and enjoy.
