A conceituada atriz Americana Dee Wallace,tem trabalhado como autora,professora,dançarina e actriz em filmes,Televisão e teatro há mais de 40 anos.

SWCP: O saudoso Charles Conrad foi o seu mentor. Qual foi o melhor ensinamento que ele lhe deu que tenha ficado na memória para sempre?

D.W: Que tudo é energia e a energia é a base da atuação. Você precisa "enviar" a sua energia para longe de você para a pessoa com quem você está a interagir. A maioria dos atores "só se vêm a si próprios” e não retribuem a sua energia.

SWCP: Tendo trabalhado com diversos realizadores de renome, lembra-se de alguma situação engraçada ou fora do comum que se tenha passado?

D.W: Isso levaria horas!O Sr. Spielberg salvou um ator com uma fantasia de Halloween,o Peter Jackson pagou a minha viagem de volta e mais tarde, para a Nova Zelândia por quatro vezes quando o meu marido faleceu durante`Frighteners´,o Lewis Teague e eu dançámos com o duplo do filme `Cujo´ e o Joe Dante... Bem, haveria também muitos momentos histéricos para mencionar!

SWCP: Interpretou o papel da Mary no icónico filme,E.T-O Extra-Terrestre.Como foi essa experiência?Esperava que esse filme viesse a ter um tremendo sucesso?

D.W: Eu sabia que o script era incrível, e que eu queria ser uma parte dela. O público faz de você um sucesso. Foi uma experiência mágica e ainda é. É um filme que transcende a escuridão.

SWCP: Tendo também trabalhado em diversas séries televisivas,na sua opinião,é mais difícil trabalhar em cinema ou em Televisão?Quais são as principais diferenças?

D.W: É muito mais difícil para mim fazer TV. Você não tem a liberdade criativa que pode fazer nos filmes. E você não pode pular de papel para papel tentando experimentar novos personagens. Por outro lado, o salário fixo é bom!

SWCP: Participou em muitos filmes e séries de terror. Qual é o seu favorito?

D.W: ' Cujo´. Sinto que fui tão longe o quanto poderia ser possível emocionalmente e com honestidade.

SWCP: Que mensagem gostaria de enviar aos seus fãs?

D.W: Amem-vos. Amem quem vocês são. Dêem e recebam. Animem-se. A vida é curta demais para qualquer outra coisa.

The renowned American actress Dee Wallace, has worked as an author, teacher,dancer rand actress in film, Television and stages for over 40 years.

SWCP: The late Charles Conrad, was your mentor. What was the teaching he gave you that has stayed in your memory forever? 

D.W: That everything is energy, and energy is the basis of acting. You need to “throw” your energy away from you to the person, view, etc. that you are interacting with. Most actors “watch themselves “and don’t throw their energy.

SWCP: Having worked with many renowned film directors, do you remember of any funny or unusual situation that happened with any of them?  

D.W: That would take hours: Mr. Spielberg saved an actor in a Halloween costume, Peter Jackson paid my way back and forth to New Zealand 4 times when my husband passed away during the Frighteners, Lewis Teague and I danced with the stunt Cujo, and Joe Dante...well, there are too many hysterical moments to mention!

SWCP: You played the role of Mary in the iconic movie E.T, the extra-terrestrial, how it was that experience? Did you expect this film would have a tremendous success?  

D.W:  I knew the script was amazing, and that I wanted to be a part of it. The public makes you a hit. It was a magical experience and still is. It is a film that transcends the darkness.

SWCP: Having worked in several television series, in your opinion, is more difficult to work in films or on television? What are the main differences?

D.W: Much harder for me to do T.V.. You do not have the creative freedom you do in film. And you don’t get to hop from role to role and try new characters on. On the other hand, the steady paycheck sure is nice!

SWCP: You played several roles in many Horror films and series. Do you have a favorite one?

D.W:` Cujo´. I feel I went as far as I could go emotionally and with honesty.

SWCP: What message would you like to send for your fans? 

 D.W: Love yourselves. Love who you are. Give. Receive. Be happy. Life is too short for anything else.
