Entrevistas SWCP: Michael Bell

Michael Bell é um ator americano que tem trabalhado como ator vocal/diretor em séries de animação e video jogos,sendo um dos atores mais proeminentes nesta área nos anos 80.Em Star Wars,Bell foi a voz do General Vanden Willard no filme `Uma Nova Esperança´e do General Taskeen no video jogo Force Commander e o General Dodonna na série de animação Star Wars Rebels.

SWCP: Fale-nos do seu personagem no filme Star Wars IV.
M.B: Eu dobrei a voz do Comandante Willard e de vários combatentes da rebelião  durante as cenas de batalha. Em outras palavras, morri várias vezes. 

SWCP: Tem algum personagem favorito do universo Star Wars?

M.B: Não.

SWCP: Tendo interpretado inúmeros personagens em séries de animação,há algum do qual tenha sido mais difícil de interpretar?

M.B: Nenhum dos personagens que interpretei foi realmente difícil de dobrar.

 

SWCP: É também ator vocal em videojogos.Que diferenças gostaria de destacar entre essa área e as séries de animação?

M.B: Na verdade,não há muitas diferenças. É tudo a mesma abordagem. Até com o diretor. Você recebeu um roteiro, escolhe uma qualidade vocal para o personagem e atua.

SWCP: Foi a voz do General Dodonna em Star Wars Rebels.Como foi essa experiência?

M.B:  Fui contratado para esse papel porque eu era capaz de dobrar a voz do ator que interpretou originalmente o Dodonna no filme. Um elenco adorável. Já conhecia a Vanessa Marshall, então foi divertido trabalhar com ela.O Freddie Prinz Jr foi muito fixe. 

SWCP: Que mensagem gostaria de enviar aos seus fãs?

M.B: Entendo que isto é tudo sobre Star Wars, mas agradeço a todos os meus fãs que me deixem-me dizer que os produtores de Rugats querem que os atores do elenco original da série voltem a interpretar os seus personagens, pois esta série vai regressar brevemente.

Michael Bell is an American actor who has worked as an actor/director in vocal and animated series video games,being one of the most prominent voice actors of the 80´s.

In Star Wars,Bell was the voice of General Vanden Willard in the film ' A new hope ´,General Taskeen in video game Force Commander and General Dodonna in Star Wars Rebels. 

SWCP: Tell us about your character in Star Wars IV.  

M.B: I dubbed the voice of Commander Willard and several of the Federation fighters during the battle scenes. In other words I died again and again. 

SWCP: Do you have a favorite character from the Star Wars universe? 

M.B: Nope.

SWCP:  Having played numerous characters in the animated series,is there some of which have been more difficult to play? 

M.B: None of the characters I voiced were really difficult to play. 

SWCP: You´re also vocal actor in videogames.Would like to highlight the differences between this area and the animated series?  

M.B: Actually there isn’t much of a difference. It´s all the same approach. So much is up to the director. You get a script, choose a vocal quality for the character and act your ass off.

SWCP: You were the voice of General Dodonna in Star Wars Rebels. How it was that experience?  

M.B: I was hired because I was able to duplicate the actor’s voice who originally portrayed Dodonna in another venue. A lovely cast. I knew Vanessa Marshall so it was fun working with her. Freddie Prinz Jr was very cool.   

SWCP: What message would you like to send for your fans? 

M.B:  I understand this is all about Star Wars but I would appreciate all my fans letting the producers of Rugats know they would like those actors from the original cast of the show to revise their characters in the revival coming up in the near future.
