Entrevistas SWCP: Paul Markham

Coitado do tipo!

English Version:

The British actor Paul Markham, participated in several films and series such as: Superman II, III and IV, Indiana Jones: The last crusade, Batman, Hugo and Star Wars: The return of Jedi as an imperial officer.

SWCP: Tell us about your role on Star Wars: The return of Jedi.

P.M: I was an imperial officer waiting for spaceship to arrive with emperor onboard -it was filmed at Elstree studios and took several days -so a lot of standing around.

SWCP: Most of Star Wars fans prefer the original trilogy to the latest one, although currently it can be possible to add special effects that there were no technical means at that time. Do you share this opinion?

P.M: Yes I personally prefer original trilogy and to think they were films late 70s early 80s -they carry the time well.

SWCP: You returned to work on a film which Harrison Ford was the leading actor(Indiana Jones and the last crusade). If you could do a brief summary about this actor, what would you say?

P.M: Harrison Ford is a very talented actor -not only on Star wars but other films has made as well -fourth protocol was very good as was Fugitive but he´s done other good films as well-they just come to mind -I worked on Indiana Jones:The last crusade, where I was German S.A officer.

SWCP: Do you remember of any funny situation during the filming of Star Wars?

P.M: The Stormtroopers wore a white costume –bad design zip at back, and one of them didn’t quite make it to toilet and had a stain at the front; glad it wasn’t me poor guy!

SWCP: You participated in three Superman´s movies. How it was this experience?

P.M: Superman films were great (pic attached from superman 4) this was done at Milton Keynes a new town built in the 70s around an hour from London. Also Superman II, we filmed in Aldwych tube station in London; we were passengers and Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder were involved in that scene.

SWCP: Would you like to leave a message for your fans?

P.M: my message to fans: a big hello and if they want pics of me look at sci fi signers site(http://scifisignersunited.weebly.com/)  or contact me if already on my Facebook -I send to anywhere in the World -and thanks for your support now and in the past.
