The Australian actress, model and entrepreneur Lily Nyamwasa participated in episodes II and III of Star Wars in the role of Master Jedi Stass Allie.
SWCP: You were to replace Gin Clarke in the role of Adi Gallia, but ended up with role of Stass Allie. Why?
L.N: After the filming George Lucas realised that I looked so different to Gin Clarke and decided to create a new character for me so Stass Allie was born.
SWCP: Then, you were also replaced in some scenes by actress Nina Fallon. Is this true?
L.N: Only in one or two scenes that were shot in UK. George Lucas didn't fly some of the actors/actresses from Australia for those last scenes
SWCP: You founded R.O.A.R. ( http://roarcharity.org/ ), a foundation that provides assistance for the orphans of Rwanda. What kind of events your foundation do to raise funds?
L.N: We do a range of fundraising activities, such as city2surf which is a big annual marathon here in Sydney, our fashion/cocktail event which is held annually and of course I do Star Wars signing/autograph in return the fans donate money to ROAR. We also partner with other business such as wine companies, women clothing business and more to try and raise money.
SWCP: Your popularity as an actress of Star Wars has also helped to spread the foundation (R.O.A.R)?
L.N: Yes it has. I sign for Star Wars fans and in return they donated money to ROAR and I am currently doing a signing with Echo base. Hopefully we will raise good money for the children of ROAR.
SWCP: Did you participate in other movies, or Star Wars was just an experience of passing through the world of movies?
L.N: Star Wars was probably the big movie production I've ever been in. I was more of a model than an actress. I appeared in few Australian TV shows as an extra. I enjoyed filming Star Wars and considered becoming a full time actress but as you know it's a competitive industry especially here in Australia. If the opportunity presented itself to act in another movie I will definitely consider it.
SWCP: What message would you like to leave for the fans of Star Wars?
L.N: Thank you for the Star Wars fan for making Stass Allie so special. I am inspired by their passion and love for Star Wars.
