Entrevistas SWCP: Lex Lang

Walter Alexis Lang mais conhecido por Lex Lang, é um actor vocal e produtor americano que já foi galardoado com dois Emmy. Tem interpretado várias vozes para personagens de séries de animação, filmes, anúncios e videojogos. 

SWCP: Foi a voz do Han Solo para os videojogos da Lucas Arts. Fale-nos um pouco acerca desse papel. 

L.L: Han Solo! Yeah! Ele foi um sonho tornado realidade para um fã de Star Wars como eu. O primeiro jogo que fiz foi Star Wars Rogue Squadron Three e a moldura temporal foi a barra cronológica original de STAR WARS IV: Uma Nova Esperança. Tinha de dizer algumas linhas como “Não Se incomodem, ela vai-se manter junta... Ouça-me querida, mantém-te intacta.” E mais algumas linhas clássicas. Depois fiz mais uns jogos como Han Solo como uma personagem desbloqueável. Consequentemente fiz vários personagens diferentes e alienígenas na maior parte dos outros jogos de STAR WARS. O mais ouvido nos jogos foi como Stormtrooper. 

SWCP: Tendo vencido dois Emmys, acha que foi o momento mais alto da sua carreira? 

L.L: Embora esses momentos tenham sido assombrosos, sinto-me como um artista que está constantemente a evoluir e a desabrochar. A criatividade é algo que flui diariamente e que faz constantemente o seu caminho à superfície. Portanto espero ter ainda mais momentos excitantes na minha carreira. Ter tido a oportunidade de fazer de Batman e Doctor Doom, é igualmente um momento alto da minha carreira! 

SWCP: É também cantor, compositor e guitarrista da sua própria banda “LexLang”. Que tipo de músicas tocam? 

L.L: A minha música é uma mistura do que escutei enquanto cresci: rock clássico como Led Zeppelin e Pink Floyd , misturado com melodias como os Beatles e música como Steve Miller Band e Lenny Kravitz. Eu gosto de todos os tipos de música. Portanto a minha música pode ser descrita como tendo as melodias nobres com um sabor a sudoeste no meu material acústico e guitarras. 

SWCP: É o co-fundador da Fundação Love Planet. Em que consiste essa Fundação? 

L.L: É principalmente uma organização sem fins lucrativos que fomenta a educação de crianças quanto à importância de reciclar e consciencializar sobre a falta de água a nível mundial; também ajudamos vítimas de catástrofes naturais, como Tsunamis e Terramotos, fornecendo água limpa para beber e fundos para ajudá-los a adquirir bens essenciais como comida e abrigo. 

SWCP: Em que projectos está actualmente a trabalhar? 

L.L: Estou a trabalhar actualmente no Curious George como o Porteiro e o seu Cão Hundley, você pode ouvir-me no The TV Show Community assim como nas vozes adicionais, e o episódio de Avengers Earth's Mightiest heroes que se estreou esta semana, onde faço o papel do Doctor Doom. 

SWCP: Que mensagem gostaria de enviar aos fãs de Star Wars? 

L.L: Que a Força esteja convosco ... ok, isto é um pouco banal mas é o que eu sinto. Lembrem-se de que somos um todo com uma força no Universo que está em todas as coisas vivas, e que tenhamos o poder para criar a partir dessa força. Eu gosto de dizer, 'não andem à volta a obter más vibrações das pessoas, vocês criam as vibrações!'

Portanto façam bom uso delas e lembrem-se de que estabelecemos o padrão das nossas vidas. Portanto façam-no com grande amor e gratidão.

Walter Alexis Lang more known by Lex Lang,is an american voice actor and producer who won two Emmy awards.He has been interpreting several voices for characters in movies,animation,commercials and vídeo games.

SWCP: You were the voice of Han Solo for the Lucas Arts Star Wars videogames .Tell us a little more about your role. 

L.L: Han Solo! Yeah baby! It was a dream come true as a big star wars fan myself. The first game I did was Star Wars Rogue Squadron Three and the time frame was the original timeline of STAR WARS 4 - A New Hope. I got to say lines like "Don't Worry, She'll hold together...

Hear me baby, hold together." and more of all the classic lines. Then I did more games with Han Solo as an Unlockable character.

Eventually I was several different characters and aliens in most of the other star wars games. Most heard in the games as Stormtrooper.  

SWCP: Having won two Emmy Awards, do you think that it was the highest moment of your career? 

L.L: Although they are pretty amazing, I feel as an artist I am constantly evolving and unfolding. Creativity is something that flows everyday and something that is constantly making its way to the surface. So I hope to have even more exciting moments in my career. Being able to play Batman, and Dr. Doom were pretty high up there, too! 

SWCP: you´re also a singer,composer and guitarrist of the band `LexLang´.What type of music plays your band? 

L.L: My music is a mix of what I listened to as I grew up, classic rock like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, mixed with melodies like the Beatles, and music like The Steve Miller Band and Lenny Kravitz. I like all kinds of music. So my music can be described as having soulful melodies, a southwestern flavor in my acoustic stuff, and poppy hooks and guitars. 

SWCP: You are the co-founder of the Foundation Love Planet. What this foundation consists? 

L.L: It's mainly a non-profit that creates education for children on the importance of recycling and world water awareness, we also help victims of natural disasters, like tsunamis and earthquakes by providing clean water to drink and funds to help them get the basic needs like food and shelter. 

SWCP: What projects have you got coming up? 

L.L: I am currently working on Curious George as the Doorman and His Dog Hundley, You can hear me on The TV Show Community as the added voices, and my Avengers Earth's Mightiest heroes episode just aired this week, where I play Dr. Doom. 

SWCP: What message would you like to leave for the fans of Star Wars? 

L.L: May the Force be with you... okay that's sort of cheesy but I mean it. Remember that we are beings that are one with a force in the universe that is in all living things, and that we have the power to create from that force. I like to say, "don't go around getting bad vibes from people, YOU create the vibe!"

So make it a good one and remember that we set the tone for our lives. So make it a great one filled with love and gratitude.
