Mark Mckenna trabalha na indústria da BD há cerca de 24 anos para editoras de renome como a Marvel, Dark Horse e DC Comics.
SWCP: Tendo trabalhado em mais de 450 bandas desenhadas, qual foi o personagem em que lhe deu mais gozo trabalhar?
M.M: Eu gosto de personagens cósmicos ou místicos como o Surfista Prateado, o Specter ou o Deadman, e também do Creeper da DC.
SWCP: Recentemente criou um filme em computador baseado na sua primeira história em livros. Pode falar-nos um pouco acerca desse projeto?
M.M: De fato, trabalhei com uma universidade, a Full Sail University na Flórida, que ilustrou o meu mais recente do livro de contos para crianças, `Banana Tail's Colorful Adventure´. Eles já tinham usado estes contos como uma ferramenta de ensino para animar e dar aos estudantes um projeto para trabalharem em conjunto. Algumas partes dele são realmente maravilhosas!
SWCP: Fale-nos do seu projeto de Star Wars “Lost Suns”.
M.M: Fui contratado para trabalhar na Dark Horse no livro “Purge”, que apresentou Darth Vader em quase todo o livro. Depois disso, mais oportunidades ficaram disponíveis. Primeiro a “Old Republic: Sangue do Império”, que também esteve ligado ao jogo de vídeo online e que foi originalmente a 2ª BD de Star Wars na web. Depois, pediram-me para trabalhar em “The lost Suns”. Eu não sei muito acerca de “The Old Republic”.
SWCP: Irá participar na Star Wars Celebration VI. Que perspectivas tem sobre este evento e da sua participação?
M.M: É a minha primeira SW Celebration. Ouvi dizer que é grandiosa e muito visitada. Mas não sei o que esperar, sou o novo tipo no Universo de Star Wars! M.M: Os tipos maus são os mais divertidos e coloridos. Boba Fett, Darth Maul...

Mark Mckenna has been a comick book artist for 24 years, having worked for Marvel, Dark Horse and DC Comics.
SWCP: Having worked in more than 425 comic, what was the character whom more you liked working?
M.M: I like the cosmic or mystical characters like the Silver Surfer, The Specter or Deadman, also DC's Creeper.
SWCP: Recently, you created a computer generated movie completely based on your first storybook. Could you tell us a bit about this project?
M.M: I actually worked with a college, Full Sail University down in Florida, that illustrated the newest of my children's storybooks, Banana Tail's Colorful Adventure. They had already had used Banana Tail as a student teaching tool to animate and give the students a project to work together on. Some of it is really wonderful!
SWCP: Tell us about your Star Wars project `Lost Suns´.
M.M: I was hired to work on the Dark Horse one shot PURGE which featured Darth Vader for almost the whole book. After that, more opportunities became available. First the Old Republic: Blood of the Empire, which also tied into the massive Bio-Ware online video game and was originally the 2nd Star wars web comic. After that, I was asked to work on The Lost Suns. I don´t really know much about "The Old Republic"...
SWCP: You are going to participate in Star Wars Celebration VI. Which perspectives do you have of this event and about your participation?
M.M: This is my very first Celebration. I hear it´s massive and well attended. But I don´t know what to expect, I´m the new guy in the Star Wars Universe! My Star Wars limited edition print, "Duel of the Twi'leks": http://darkinkart.com/star-wars-celebration-viartwork
