Entrevistas SWCP: Peter Hambleton

O ator e realizador Neozelandês Peter Hambleton,participou na trilogia de `O Hobbit´nos papéis do anão Gloin e Troll William.

SWCP: Fale-nos do seu trabalho na trilogia de `O Hobbit´.

P.H: Foram mais de três anos, em que adorei trabalhar com alguns dos melhores atores do mundo e igualmente com as centenas de pessoas brilhantes, que contribuíram com as suas habilidades em todos os departamentos do HOBBIT. 

SWCP: Alguma vez imaginou que a sua popularidade iria aumentar bastante após a sua participação nesta trilogia?

P.H: Certamente esperava que isso levaria a outras oportunidades de trabalho, mas não tinha a ideia da atenção dos fãs e que receberia um tesouro de experiências ao contactar com estas pessoas maravilhosas, e estou muito orgulhoso pelo maravilhoso boneco do Gloin feito em tricot que me foi enviado por uma senhora muito talentosa do país de Gales. 

SWCP: Participou este ano na convenção Hobbit Com 2014.Que balanço faz desta convenção?

P.H: Um emocionante fim-de-semana na companhia de tantos e verdadeiros fãs da Terra-média e uma excelente e agradável oportunidade de compartilhar com meus companheiros atores dos anões (são todos grandes amigos).

SWCP: É também director de cena em teatro. Que tipo de funções faz nesta área?

P.H: Eu só dirigi uma produção de uma peça americana, aqui na Nova Zelândia precisamente na minha cidade natal, Wellington, no Circa Theatre."EQUIVOCATION" tem um argumento brilhante escrito pelo Bill Cain que fala sobre o William Shakespeare ter ficado preso na sequência da conspiração de Gunpowder em 1605.Voltando atrás no tempo, há mais de 400 anos, o escritor de alguma forma consegue abrilhantar muitas das questões sobre a verdade e a justiça com que atualmente nos debatemos. Os nossos frequentadores de teatro têm ficado encantados com a experiência, e dá-me muita alegria ver os nossos atores ligarem-se com o seu público tão livremente. 

SWCP: Voltando à saga do Hobbit,os treze anões fazem-lhe lembrar de certa forma, os sete anões do conto da Disney `Branca de Neve e os sete anões´ em que cada um deles tem características muito especiais?

P.H: Tal como os sete anões, os nossos treze anões de Hobbit,têm todos características muito distintas. Acho que o Gloin seria uma alma gémea do rabugento!!!!

SWCP: Que mensagem gostaria de enviar aos seus fãs?

P.H: Muito obrigado por todo o vosso contato no Facebook, Twitter, etc. Em breve vou lançar um site, e estou ansioso por conhecê-los numa Convenção de fãs ou numa estreia a qualquer momento.

The actor and director from New Zealand Peter Hambleton participated on `The Hobbit´ trilogy in the role of the Dwarf Gloin and Troll William.

SWCP: Tell us about your work on `The Hobbit.

P.H: Over three years, I loved working with some of the very finest actors in the world, and equally with the hundreds of brilliant people who contributed their skills in every department of the HOBBIT. 

SWCP: Did you ever imagine that your popularity would increase after your participation in this movie?

P.H:I certainly hoped that it would lead to other work opportunities, but I had no idea of the attention from fans I would receive treasure every experience of contact with these wonderful people, and I am so very proud of the beautifully knitted Gloin I was sent by a clever lady from Wales.

 SWCP: You participated this year at The Hobbit Con 2014.Could you do a final summary of this event?

P.H: A thrilling weekend in the company of so many true fans of Middle Earth, and a thoroughly enjoyable chance to catch up with my fellow dwarf actors (dear friends all). 

SWCP: You´re also a stage director. What kind of work are you doing at this area?

P.H: I have just directed a production of an American play, here in New Zealand in my home town of Wellington, at Circa Theatre.EQUIVOCATION is a brilliant script by Bill Cain, about William Shakespeare getting tangled up in the aftermath of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605.By going back in time over 400 years, the writer somehow manages to shine light on many of the issues of truth and justice we grapple with today. Our theatre-goers have been delighted with the experience, and it gives me great joy to see our actors engaging with their audience so freely. 

SWCP: Backing to `The Hobbit’, the thirteen Dwarfs remember you of the seven Dwarfs from Snow White (Disney) each one with very special and different skills?

P.H: Like the Seven Dwarves, our Thirteen HOBBIT Dwarves all have very distinctive characteristics. I think Gloin would be a soul-mate for GRUMPY!!

SWCP: Would you like to send a message for your fans?
