Como vem sendo habitual,editamos algumas entrevistas exclusivas especiais,que apesar de não estarem relacionadas com a temática Star Wars,têm tido uma boa aceitação dos nossos leitores pois também gostam de outras temáticas como é o caso da famosa série televisiva `A guerra dos tronos´da qual esperamos editar várias entrevistas com atores que participaram nesta série.

O actor britânico Andy Beckwith é mais conhecido pelos seus papéis do Clanker em Piratas das Caraíbas e Rorge na série A guerra dos tronos.

SWCP: Trabalhou como estucador na construção civil e foi também pugilista.Como chegou à carreira de ator?

A.B: Sim, fui estucador e quando era mais jovem cantei em algumas bandas, então surgiu uma oportunidade de atuar para um showcase no Groucha Club, Londres para atores que estavam a deixar a escola de teatro e tentavam obter um papel na Peça escolar que se chamava ´Últimos pedidos´ e eu interpretei um vendedor de East End.Mais tarde,inscrevi-me e a minha primeira audição foi para o filme ´Snatch-Porcos e diamantes´,tive muita sorte. Quanto ao boxe, achei que o treino era muito difícil, então continuei com o futebol. 

SWCP: Fale-nos do seu trabalho em `A guerra dos tronos´.

A.B: Interpretei o delicioso personagem Rorge, um homem desagradável e, provavelmente, o pior personagem que interpretei até agora.

SWCP: Dirige uma equipa de futebol no Reino Unido que joga na liga Sunday.É verdade que quando a sua equipa venceu esta liga,você tirou todas as suas roupas e começou a dançar nu à volta do estádio?Foi alguma promessa que tinha feito caso a sua equipa ganhasse esta liga?

A.B: A equipa em questão era a Walton Town F.C, a equipa nunca tinha vencido a Liga Sunday e tinha tentado por 24 anos, contei-lhes no primeiro jogo da temporada o seguinte "se vocês ganharem a liga então corro ao redor do campo apenas com as minhas botas" naquele ano com o grupo excepcional de jogadores que eu tinha , nós ganhamos duplamente, a liga e taça e sim, dancei ao redor do campo, com apenas as botas calçadas.

SWCP: Após ter trabalhado na Guerra dos tronos na segunda temporada,voltou a juntar-se ao elenco na quarta temporada.O que sentiu no seu regresso a esta popular série televisiva?

A.B: Como sou um enorme fã da Guerra dos tronos, foi uma experiência maravilhosa ter regressado a Belfast para interpretar o Rorge novamente.

SWCP: Tornou-se popular no segundo e terceiro filme de Piratas das Caraíbas no papel do Clanker.Como foi essa experiência?

A.B: Foi o tempo mais incrível da minha vida, ter estado envolvido num filme dessa dimensão. Passei dois anos no Caribe e em Los Angeles, Gore Verbinski foi um realizador genial e os atores foram incríveis e vocês podem comprar uma figura de ação Disney do Clanker.

SWCP: Que mensagem gostaria de enviar aos seus fãs?

A.B: Enquanto estou a responder à vossa entrevista, estou de partida para Los Angeles, com um boné na mão para bater às portas, por isso, espero que não demorará muito até vocês me verem novamente em ação.

Andy Beckwith is a British actor best known for portraying the characters of Clanker in Pirates of the Caribbean and Rorge in the Game of Thrones.

SWCP: You worked in the building trade as a plasterer and you were also a boxer.How did you get into acting career?

A.B: Yes I was a plasterer and as a younger man I sang in a couple of bands, then an acting opportunity came up for a showcase at the Groucha Club, London for actors who were leaving drama school and trying to get signed, the play was called last orders and I played an east end sales man.  I was signed up and my first audition was snatch, I was very lucky.  As for boxing i found the training was too hard so I carried on with football.

SWCP: Tell us about your role in Game of Thrones.

A.B: I play the delightful character Rorge, a reel nasty man and probably the worst character to date that I have played.

SWCP: You manages a Sunday League Football team in the UK.Is that true that when your team won the cup,you took off your clothes and danced naked around the pitch? It was a promise that had to fulfill if your team won this league?

A.B: The team in question was Walton Town F.C, the team had never the won the Sunday league and had been trying for 24 years, I told them on the first game of the season "if you win the league then I will run around the pitch with just my boots on" that year with the exceptional group of players that I had, we won the double league and cup and yes I danced around the pitch with just my boots on.


SWCP: After worked in second season of Game of Thrones,you returned for the fourth season.What did you felt about your return to this popular TV show?

A.B: As I am a massive fan of game of thrones, it was a wonderful experience to return to Belfast to play Rorge again.

SWCP: You became popular for playing the role of Clanker in the second and third `Pirates of the Caribbean´films.How it was this experience?

A.B: It was the most amazing time in my life to be involved in a film of that size, I spent 2 years in the Caribbean and Los Angeles, Gore Verbinski was a genius director and the actors were incredible and you can buy a Walt Disney action figure of Clanker.


SWCP: What message would you like to send for your fans?
A.B: As I write this, I am off to Los Angeles, with cap in hand to knock on doors, so hopefully it won't be too long before you see me again.
