Entrevistas SWCP: Bernard Bullen

Bernard Bullen é um ator de origem Britânica/Espanhola que tem trabalhado principalmente em pequenos filmes e séries de Televisão. Em The Mandalorian,interpretou o papel do Father. 

 

SWCP: Como surgiu a oportunidade de trabalhar da série live-action,The Mandalorian?

B.B: O meu agente ligou-me a dizer para eu ir fazer um casting ao escritório da Sarah Finn que estavam interessados em mim para um enorme projeto da Disney em que interpretaria em Novembro do ano passado,o papel de um pai.Continuei a passar por fases de seleção até que fui confirmado em Janeiro. Nem mesmo nos meus sonhos mais loucos,poderia imaginar que era para um programa de TV sobre star wars. Descobri no dia em que fui confirmado.Não podia acreditar!Duas semanas depois,estava no set de O Mandaloriano! Sonhos se tornam realidade!

SWCP: Pode falar-nos um pouco mais sobre o personagem que interpretou nessa série? 

B.B: Interpreto o pai de um jovem mandaloriano em flash backs. Uma história muito dramática que mostra a destruição de Mandalorr quando ele era criança.O seu pai faz tudo o que pode para mantê-lo seguro, mesmo que a sua vida esteja em risco.O seu pai e mãe querem que ele seja seguro.

SWCP: Já era fã de Star Wars antes de ter participado nesta série?

B.B: Sim.Sempre fui um fã de Star Wars desde os filmes antigos. Eu era muito pequeno quando os dois primeiros apareceram, mas O Regresso de Jedi era o meu favorito.Ainda tenho muitas das figuras e naves espaciais!

SWCP: Em que projetos está atualmente a trabalhar? 

B.B: Terminei de filmar um filme de terror,The UNCANNY , dirigido pelos Irmãos Vang , será lançado no início do próximo ano.

SWCP: Tem já uma grande experiência em séries/filmes em canais de serviços de streaming como a Netflix,por exemplo.
Acha que com o surgimento destas plataformas as salas de cinema vão começar a perder público? 

B.B: É um momento incrível para os conteúdos televisivos e em todas as novas plataformas. Mas nada se compara a assistir a um filme na grande tela.Essa magia só pode ser sentida quando você está num cinema.

SWCP: Que mensagem gostaria de enviar aos fãs de Star Wars?

B.B: Estou muito feliz por fazer parte deste novo capítulo do Universo Star Wars e é um novo começo para Star Wars na TV e será muito emocionante.Longa vida aos Caçadores de recompensas. E ao "meu filho".

Bernard Bullen is a British/Spanish actor who has worked mainly on small films and television series. In The Mandalorian, he played the role of Father.  

SWCP: How did the opportunity to work from the live-action series, The Mandalorian? 

B.B: My manager called me To say casting office , Sarah Finn casting was interested in me for a huge Disney Project to play a father That was in November last year . I kept going through selection stages untill I was confirmed In January. Not even in my wildest dreams I could imagine it was for a Star Wars TV show. I found out the day I was confirmed. I couldn’t believe it. Two weeks later,I was in the set of The Mandalorian! Dreams come true!

SWCP: Can you tell us a little more about the character you played in this series?  

B.B: I play the father of a Young Mandalorian in flash backs. A very dramatic back-story that shows the destruction of Mandalorr when he is little. His father does everything he can to keep him safe, even if his life is at risk. Father and Mother want him safe.

SWCP: Were you a Star Wars fan before you participated in this Television show? 

B.B: Yes. I was always a Star Wars fan since the old films. I was very little when the first 2 appeared but The Return of the Jedi was my favorite. I still have many of the figurines and spaceships!

SWCP: What projects are you currently working on? 

B.B: I finished filming a horror movie The UNCANNY , directed by the Vang Brothers , will be released early next year.  

SWCP: You already have some experience in series/movies on streaming service channels like Netflix, for example. Do you think with the emergence of these platforms, movie theaters are going to start losing audiences?  

B.B: It’s an amazing moment for content on TV and all the new platforms. But nothing compares to watch a movie on the big screen. That magic can only be felt when you are in a theatre. 

SWCP: What message would you like to send to Star Wars fans?   

B.B: I am very happy to be part of this new Star Wars Universe chapter and it’s a new beginning for Star Wars on TV and will be very exciting. Long live these bounty Hunters. And my son.
