George Vere é um ator inglês que teve duas participações nos filmes Star Wars: O Último Jedi (X-Wing Pilot) e Rogue One (Death Trooper).
 
SWCP: Fale-nos um pouco sobre o seu trabalho em Star Wars VIII e Rogue One.

G.V: Fui um Deathtrooper em Rogue One e um Piloto de X-Wing em Os Últimos Jedi. Foi de longe a experiência de atuação mais emocionante da minha vida, todos os dias estava rodeado de explosões, cenários incríveis e a realeza de Star Wars!

SWCP: Já era fã de Star Wars antes de ter aceitado estes papéis? Tem algum personagem favorito?

G.V: Absolutamente! Lembro-me de um dia estarmos sentados num dos cenários em Pinewood, esperando pela nossa cena e percebi que estávamos sentados ao lado da Millennium Falcon! Acho que o meu personagem favorito teria que ser o Boba Fett.

SWCP: Como é que um consagrado artista contemporâneo e poeta-beat se envolveu num filme de ficção científica?

G.V: Apenas sorte, eu acho! Eles estavam a procurar por pessoas exatamente da minha altura (1,93m) parainterpretar os Deathtroopers, e então eu fui aceite pela equipa que me pediu para voltar a trabalhar com eles para o filme Os  Últimos Jedi,apesar de quase não ter obtido o papel já que eles não tinham a certeza se eu era ou não alto demais para interpretar um Piloto de  X-Wing. Posso estar errado, mas acho que sou o piloto mais alto da história de Star Wars!

SWCP: O que é a multi-galardoada comédia dupla,Willis & Vere?

G.V: Sou a metade de um ato de comédia que trabalha nesta área há cinco anos. A outra metade do ato,o Adam Willis,como não é bonito, não tem nenhum trabalho de atuação além da comédia! 

SWCP: Que mensagem gostaria de enviar aos fãs de Star Wars?

G.V: Malta, vocês são os melhores fãs do mundo!

  George Vere is an English actor who played two roles in Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (X-Wing Pilot) and Rogue One (Death Trooper) 
SWCP: Tell us a bit more about your work in Star Wars VIII and Rogue One.
G.V: I was a Deathtrooper in Rogue One and an X-Wing Pilot in The Last Jedi. It was by far the most exciting acting experience of my life; every day was filled with explosions, amazing sets and Star Wars royalty!

SWCP:  Were you a Star Wars fan before you took these roles? Do you have any favorite characters?

G.V: Absolutely! I remember one day we were sitting in one of the sets in Pinewood, waiting for our scene and I realised that we were sitting right next to the Millennium Falcon! I think my favourite character would have to be Boba Fett.

SWCP: How did a renowned contemporary artist and beat poet get involved in a science fiction film?

G.V: Just lucky, I guess! They were looking for people exactly my height (1.93m) to play Deathtroopers, and then I got on well with the team so I was asked back for The Last Jedi. Although I almost didn't come back - they were unsure as to whether or not I was too tall to play an X-Wing Pilot. I might be wrong, but I think I'm actually the tallest X-Wing Pilot in Star Wars history!

SWCP: What is the Willis & Vere a multi-award-winning comedy double act?

G.V: I'm half of a comedy act that has been working in the comedy industry for five years. The other half of the act, Adam Willis, is not good-looking though, so doesn't get any acting work!

SWCP: What message would you like to send to Star Wars fans?

G.V: You guys are the best fans in the world!
