Dawn Dininger é uma atriz,Master Character Fabricator e perfomer de criaturas. Dawn se orgulha de ter contribuído com as suas habilidades de fabricação de personagens para inúmeros filmes e séries de TV de grande sucesso, incluindo The Mandalorian, Captain Marvel, Pacific Rim: Uprising, The Shape of Water, Guardiões da Galáxia Vol. 2, Esquadrão Suicida, Capitão América: Guerra Civil, Vingadores: Era de Ultron, Terminator Genisys, Thor, Tron: Legacy,  A Feiticeira e o Guarda-Roupa, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, Alien vs. Predator, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Jurassic Park III e A.I. Artificial Intelligence, entre muitos outros. Ela interpretou o prisioneiro Rodian não identificado, bem como a mãe Rodian e o Músico  Bith na série de televisão live-action, The Book of Boba Fett ,tendo ainda trabalhado no Departamento de Figurinos e Guarda-Roupa e na equipa de marionetes do Grogu.

SWCP: Conte-nos sobre o seu trabalho  em  Star Wars. 

C.P: Sou a especialista em trajes, marionetista e atriz de criaturas na série. 

SWCP: Já era fã de Star Wars antes de aceitar este trabalho? 

C.P: Já gostava de Star Wars antes de começar a trabalhar na série, mas agora eu realmente adoro.  

SWCP: Tem trabalhado em alguns filmes e séries como performer de criaturas.Qual foi até agora a  mais difícil de interpretar? 

C.P: O mais difícil de interpretar até agora foi para um comercial da AT&T que nunca foi ao para o ar o traje era uma bagunça da casa feita de coisas de toda a casa.  Havia um processador de alimentos no meu ombro que cavou no lugar errado, então foi realmente doloroso o dia todo.

SWCP: Depois da faculdade, você mudou-se para a Califórnia e foi orientada por Devon Ryan, um artista de efeitos especiais. Que memórias recorda desses tempos?

C.P: Eu dirigia durante hora e meia em cada sentido todos os fins de semana para aprender com ele.Eu era a única lá, então tinha toda a atenção.  Eu pagava para ele, mas ele sempre dizia que se eu não pudesse pagar,podia aparecer de qualquer jeito.  Nem preciso dizer que ele me orientou de graça um pouco. 

SWCP: Em que projetos está atualmente a trabalhar? 

C.P: Não tenho permissão para dizer no que estou a trabalhar atualmente, mas alguns filmes em que trabalhei saíram recentemente. Masmorras e Dragões, e Guardiões da Galáxia 3.

SWCP: Que mensagem gostaria de enviar aos fãs de Star Wars? 

C.P: Nunca desistam dos vossos sonhos. Vocês podem ter de fazer alguns desvios ao longo do caminho, mas nunca parem de trabalhar em direção ao que desejam.

Dawn Dininger is an actress and a Master Character Fabricator, Specialty Costumer & Creature Suit Performer. Dawn is proud to have contributed her character fabrication skills to countless blockbuster movies and TV series, including The Mandalorian, Captain Marvel, Pacific Rim: Uprising, The Shape of Water, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Suicide Squad, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Terminator Genisys, Thor, Tron: Legacy, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, Alien vs. Predator, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Jurassic Park III, and A.I. Artificial Intelligence, among many others. She portrayed the Unidentified Rodian prisoner and as the mom Rodian and the oboe playing Bith in live-action television series, The Book of Boba Fett and also worked in the Costume and Wardrobe Department and Grogu puppeteering team. 

SWCP: Tell us about your work on Star Wars.

C.P: I am a specialty costumer, puppeteer, and suit performer on the show.

SWCP: Were you a Star Wars fan before you took this job? 

C.P: I enjoyed Star Wars before I started working on the show, but now I really love it.  

 SWCP: You've been working on some movies and series as a Creature Suit Performer. What has been the hardest to play so far? 

C.P: The hardest one to play so far was for an AT&T commercial that never aired the suit was a house mess made up of things from around the house.There was a food processor on my shoulder that dug in just the wrong spot, so it was really painful all day.

SWCP: After College, you moved to California and were mentored by Devon Ryan, a special effects artist. What memories do you remember from those times?

C.P: I would drive 1 1/2 hours each way every weekend to learn from him.  I would be the only one there, so I got 1 on 1 attention.  I would pay him, but he always said that if I couldn’t pay him to show up anyway.  Needless to say, he mentored me for free quite a bit. 

 SWCP: What projects are you currently working on? 

C.P: I’m not allowed to say what I am currently working on, but a couple of films that I worked on came out recently. Dungeons and Dragons, and Guardians of the Galaxy 3. 

SWCP: What message would you like to send to Star Wars fans? 

C.P: Never give up on your dreams.You might have to make some detours along the way, but never stop working toward what you want.
